About Me

Yorudan

Hi, my name is Jordan Le. I am a Computer Science major with a concentration in Creative Computational Media. Before transferring to the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, I took four digital media art classes at San Jose State University. Through these classes, I developed an interest in CADRE (Computers in Art, Design, Research, and Education) and SIGGRAPH. When I transferred, I continued pursuing my CS degree at UH Manoa, where I enrolled in CCM courses. This experience opened up opportunities, such as becoming an ICSpark mentor. CCM reminds me of CADRE, and I enjoy helping 6th to 12th graders with Introduction to Web Development.

My motto in life is "follow your passions."

Artist Statement

As an interface designer, I explore the intersection of digital media art and web development, crafting enjoyable experiences that are engaging and expressive. My work blends creative coding, CSS animation, and experimental design to push the boundaries of a functional website, making it also artistic. Inspired by The Coding Train, I began my journey through creative coding, discovering how playful experimentation could transform static pages into dynamic canvases. My aesthetic draws from glitch art, animesque, and nostalgic tech themes like Windows XP, creating various art styles that give software technology and kawaii vibes. Artists such as Nick Briz, Simone Legno, and Alan Becker have shaped my approach to storytelling through interactivity and motion. Fantasy, sci-fi, and RPGs fuel my imagination, infusing my designs with narrative depth and escapist wonder. Through my work, I invite users to step into alternate digital worlds, spaces where art and code converge, and where reality can be reimagined.
